Hi All,

I'm hoping someone can help me with the process/procedure of switching off my alarm system. My understand is that typically you isolate it from main power, then open the control box (if tamper is enabled) then you put in the code to deactivated. You then remove the battery backup power, but when you do this the main siren will go off.

My question is how do you shutdown the system without the main siren going off? Do you input the engineer code at the start to turn off tamper setting? I know if I let the siren sound it will probably last for 20mins and then die, but I'd like to avoid annoying my neighbours with the siren sound.

Any assistance would be helpful.

Thanks.

You get the ladders out …. Or leave it 20 mins and it “should go off “ depending on the bell box ….or it may not even sound at all if the battery is ….dead or ….not connected …

Is there anyway besides physically getting a ladder to open the siren and remove the battery or leaving the siren to sound for 20+ mins? For example using the engineering code to disable the siren from going off?
