The double socket has 2 lives, 2 neutrals and 1 earth when connecting wires to socket one of the live wires broke off in the cable, still have 1 live wire i can attach. Can anyone advise what i should do ?

Can you extend the broken conductor with a wago and piece of suitable cable, are you sure there is only one earth conductor ?

There is no room its close to the wall and the cable goes back in the wall rather than up or down.

Pic is visible ,but not very clear. I can't see the broken conductor. It appears that the incoming cables are wrapped in tape. If so ,remove some to reveal the broken conductor. You only need approx 1/2 inch of it still in good condition to connect it to another piece of cable.

thankyou for the advice and just to answer your first question yes there is only 1 earth does that make any diffrence

Could there be 2 earth conductors together in one green/ yellow sleeving ?
Is the circuit a ring final ? What amperage circuit breaker or fuse protects the circuit ?

the earth wire was split into the 2 cables . Thankyou for your help I managed to join the live back to the wire that broke off. I manged to pull the existing wire out enough to join . Must have done correctly as fuse box not blown and no smell of electrical burning and have been using socket since . :)
