I have a center (which I believe is a honeywell 707 clone) thermostat wired to a Baxi platinum 32 combi. Do I take the four wires from the thermostat and simply wire them into the Tado wireless receiver

It's a genuine Honeywell BDR91 receiver.

If your Tado receiver is like the one below, you want the Potential Free Wiring Connection set up, and jumper position 1.

N & L are straight forward.

Honeywell A = Tado 1 COM
Honeywell B = Tado 4 NO

Don't be tempted to add any other links between any of the terminals as some boilers require. Yours doesn't and adding a link may damage it.

OK so you have a different receiver to the version I gave you the information on. Which is the usual product to use with a combi boiler. It would have helped if you have given details of the actual product you had purchased rather than just the manufacturer. Just as VW have a range of models of vehicle, Tado also have a range of products.

Anyway, you have bought a device that includes controls for central heating and hot water, but as you have a combi and not a hot water cylinder, you don't need the water heating part and will only be interested in the connections applicable to central heating in the red boxes.

N, L & E are straight forward.

Wire in Honeywell A = Tado CH COM
Wire in Honeywell B = Tado CH NO

Still no extra links required :)

Good to hear (y) and thanks for letting us know. It also helps others who may come across this thread later looking for help to know that it worked.
