Once again I come to DIYNot for advice. This time it is my oil boiler. I have a Grant 50/70 kitchen multi-pass system oil fired burner with a balanced flue.

It was recently serviced and I forgot to ask what should the boiler temperature be set at for optimum performance. The range is from 65c to 85c and it is set at 65c at present

Any advice would be appreciated.

Some time since I fitted on of those from memory Grant's recommendation is 85c in a winter.
What type of system do you have? Motorised valves? Gravity hot water? Tank feed? Sealed system?
