Water pipes suddenly all sweating

Just to update the builder got his son to redo the water main so it's now all in 22 up to the stop cock. He struggles to solder and we had small leaks at the joins several times but after he redid it a few times those have stopped. Pipes still get very wet but not all the time so looks like it's now condensation. Not sure why we would get this after years of not having it. Going to insulate the pipes - any tips on the best product/method for this please?

All can say to that is - Good Grief. No one should be struggling to solder pipes. It certainly shouldn't take multiple attempts and if it does - I would be concerned about the long term reliability of those pipe joints.

you can't successfully solder/resolder a wet joint

once a pipe has had water in it, it is very difficult to get it dry.
