Door sensor

Hello,

I am new here

I am looking for a door sensor that will send me a notification of the door has been left open for more than 5 mins?

is there anything on the market like that? Lots of sensors that will tell you if a door is open, but I can not find one that will tell me if the door had been left open.

door contacts usually activate the alarm system if open and system armed.

some panels allow you to monitor the circuit when not armed and inform you its been left open after duration x minutes say.

Sorry, it isn't clear to me whether you want a sensor to integrate into an existing alarm system, or if you want something standalone?

if it is standalone, you could look into smart home devices and IFTTT (IF This Then That) compatible door sensors - the protocol allows programmed actions to be automatically performed given certain inputs.
