Cut a long story short, the existing drainpipe drains water onto our drive and down a slope into the lawn. We're having some work done and I want this drainpipe to connect to a nearby rain water manhole on the driveway which connects into the public surface water sewer. I have been told this is illegal because leaves could block it up and I would need to sign a disclaimer for this work to happen. Really?
