Hi,

Maybe a basic question but any idea how to remove this cracked grub screw? I can’t find a way of getting it out. This is preventing me from removing the door handle.

I’ve tried a few Allan/hex keys and a smaller key whilst packing in round it. Nothing has worked.

Many thanks

So what happens when you stick an allen key of the right size in the hole and turn it? Are you saying it won't turn?

I have a couple of identical handles in other toilets in the house and the grub screws turn ok (not cracked).

Short of sawing it off I don’t know how to get the handle off.

The reason I need to remove it is the screws are loose and also it needs oiling as the handle is stiff

If you put a left-handed drill in the socket head of the screw, running anticlockwise, it will probably wind out the remains of the screw by a combination of torque, heat and vibration.

If not you can drill it right out.
