Brexit - a reality check!

OK. Could all those that were in the losing side of the referendum and the GE please now STFU! ;)
With comments like that I can't make out if you are a poor "winner", a little Englander or just a closet fascist. Everyone in a democratic society has a right to free speech, and a right to voice their opinions - even you. As it happens Boris wasn't elected God or even dictator for life. 6 years on from the vote and he has failed to publish any form of Brexit roadmap. Why? His plan to lead this country to the "brightly lit uplands of Brexit" is surely an essential for making progress and taking this country forward in the future. That's something surely everyone wants. In point of fact the economic performance of the UK under Boris's government has been woeful - if you don't believe me I suggest that you maybe watch this video by former Bank of England advisor Adam Posen (former voting External Member of the BoE Monetary Policy Committee) who predicted some years ago that Brexit would negatively affect the UK, and who shows exactly what is happening (watch the video, it is rather long, and frankly somewhat depressing)

Edit: Just to make a point about this government: I live in the North of England, an area where "levelling up" was supposed to happen. So far, in two years we've seen nothing other than the funding for Northern Rail Powerhouse slashed whilst Crossrail 2 goes ahead. WTF? Long on promises, very short on delivery. Discuss.

Blimey there were reports that some UK citezins (fruit cakes) living and working permanently in the EU

Actually voted for Brexit :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Well, the government passed a law (many years ago) which permits it, so it must be right, surely?
Legally right, morally wrong (in my opinion). Plenty of other things are legally right but morally wrong (IMO) especially with sentencing for murderers, child molesters and rapists. I suppose you are one of those that agree with those legal 'punishments'?

some of them didn't call themselves "migrants."

they thought they were "expats" and that it was not the same thing

surely nobody claimed that brexers were clever?

this idiot says "the British are never foreigners"

can he really be so stupid?

Blimey some UK national living in the EU that actually voted Brexit

Well what can you say

Fruit cakes ??

They should not be allowed back into the UK ? :)

if they're migrants in a foreign country, and don't speak the language, aren't citizens, didn't pay 35 years of NI equivalent contributions over there, aren't entitled to pension, benefits or state healthcare, don't have a valid driving licence in that country, then I suppose they're very likely to want to return to the country where they hold citizenship. Why should the foreign country take them on? Brexers were determined to make UK a Foreign Country to Europe.

I imagine it will be a hard blow to them.

they will have to invest in woolly jumpers and umbrellas.

in other news, many brit migrants are very heavy drinkers and may not be a burden on the health system for very long.

we had more than 40 years of anti-EU whingers, and they still haven't stopped moaning. You, for one.

Who's moaning? Not me. I know it will eventually all come good. You'll thank us all eventually. I’m quite happy with the result of the referendum and with Boris's crushing victory in the GE which allowed him to carry out the wishes of those that could be arsed to vote in the referendum. It’s you that hasn’t stopped whinging since not getting your own way in 2016. Get over it man, job done and there’s no turning back.

Let's all be positive about Brexit. Will someone put up the 'Brexit Benefits' chart again: I can't seem to find it. That will cheer us all up.
