toilet handle does not return

After flush handle does not return to normal position unless moved by hand, linkage looks ok
Anyone help?

maybe incorrectly adjusted handle or spring on syphon faulty.
 
Thanks for reply but where is spring you said may be faulty, none visible
 
Spring is inside the syphon. Just as easy to renew syphon when it's out anyway.

Now getting it out could be a different story altogether :)

A wire linkage from handle mechanism is attached to a plunger, is this the syphon, if it is why cant I release the wire link and pull the plunger or piston out and get at the spring?
I hope I don't have to take all the innards out
 
I'm afraid you will have to take it out, take a look at this thread and read the advice posted by Softus a while ago on how to remove your syphon. From what you have descibed, you have probably got the same kind of syphon.
 
Thanks Lee King, it looks like the picture in the thread you mentioned, I will have to think about this it seems a bigger job than I thought but thanks for the help
 
It really is quite an easy job to undertake if you just follow the instructions on how to do it ;)
