Thanks. How many joints would one tub usually do? I guess you use less on corners as it’s less fill. Just trying to work out if I’d need 1 or 2 tubs.
Fair enough. I’ve just been researching some more and think I’ve made a mistake with the mixing. I’ve been adding water to powder rather than the other way round. So I’ll try the reverse of it and persevere with the rest of the bag to see if it makes a difference. Will dust down my walls as well in case I’m getting debris from that in the mix as I’m working along. Hopefully it goes better this time! If not I’ll get the knauf stuff to finish it off.

Ok. I’ve been getting on a lot better with it now. Putting the water in and weighing the filler out helped. I think I was mixing it too thick before. Now it’s going on easily and isn’t bubbling. Practised my technique as well.
Only problem I’ve got now is that it’s taking ages to dry out (2 days later and it’s still not dry!). There isn’t any radiator in the room yet so it’s cold in the room. Does anyone have any tips on how to dry it faster. I’m tempted to use a heat gun on it but wary it could crack it and make it worse.

As above glad it's going better now 
And again as above, some gentle heat from an oil filled radiator in these temperatures would help, alon with some ventilation.
I would avoid heatgun/hairdryer, but getting a couple of fans in the room may be a good idea - these are often mentioned in threads about plaster drying times!

Yeah possibly. I’ve got an electric radiator and I’ve got an Ev tariff so could put it on a timer for the plug and have it run when I’m paying very little for the electric in the middle of the night. Would hopefully get the room quite warm. It’s not a huge room so hopefully that’s enough.
