Hi

I am thinking about replacing all my windows. I am debating whether to go for Aluminum or UPVC. I like the thinner profile of 'Al' as opposed to the chunkiness of UPVC. I need the frma in black also to match the character of the house.

Obviously there is a price difference...but i just don;t want wads of plastic showing and no windows when this is done. Can you get a thnnier progile plastic instead??.

does anyone have any idea what i should be looking at when considerng which way to go..

cheers guys

For security uPVC windows and doors are easy to break into whereas aluminium & wood are stronger and make a lot of noise when broken into.

Also go for solid wooden front/back door with a good locks

If going for Ali windows, make sure they are thermally broken or you will get condensation inside on the frame.
