hello

i have a hot water cylinder that needs replacing. the water is heated by the immersion, there is no central heating. i cant find a tank with just a cold feed and a hot supply with a hole for a immersion. the only ones i can find is the ones with the central heating connections. can i by one of these and blank of the holes?
if so where from?

many thanks chris.

You can fit one with a coil for central heating connections and there is no need to cap off the connections.........the water is heated indirectly so no water will come out!

You need to ask for a 'direct cylinder' The one you describe with central heating connections are called 'indirect'.

You can get these from any good plumbers merchant ;)

gas dont you find that direct cyls are hugley more expensive than indirect?

I do thats why I do what harrow suggested
