Indesit WI101UK problem

Hi, please can someone help me.

My Indesit WI101UK washing machine is faulty.

Shortly after switching on, the dial clicks around and the led flashes 8 times.

I have checked for blockages and have also replaced the heating element as it was covered in limescale.

If I unplug the machine for 30 seconds, reset the dial (normally to program 4), plug it back in and switch on, it runs fine (70% of the time).

Please help before my wife posts it throuth the window!

Fault F08 - heater relay stuck. The most common problem for this is the pressure switch sticking. This is the fix - unplug appliance from mains, remove top, disconnect pressure switch hose from switch, tap switch on tor weight a few times, refit hose, reassemble and test. If this does not work check wiring to heater and meter.

Hi Scot,

I have made sure the pressure switch is working, cleaned the pipe leading to it and the pressure chamber at the bottom.

The problem is still there.

I have physically checked the wiring and it all seems secure.

Any further suggestions would be much appreciated.
