no, took the hose off then turned the water supply back on and water came through fine - for some reason its not going into the machine

Did you tip the machine on it's side at all when it was being moved?

water in base. pull out and tip backwards. check lower wash arm is tight into base.

machine wasnt tipped on its side , there is a bit of water when you pull the filter out in the base - is this a blockage? does a blockage prevent water coming in?

What happens when you get water in base is that id doesn't fill and will only drain. To remedy this you have to tip it backwards to drain the base and reset the anti flood device. The main cause for this is the lower wash arm fixtures works it's way loose and drips into the base.

pushed the machine back bit of water came out of a hole below where the water supply hose is. carried out 2 cycles no problem tried a 3rd and the same problem started again.

what do i need to take off to find the blockage? the back, inside, underneath?

how do you reset the anti flood devbice and what and where are the lower arm fixtures?

thanks in advance

The anti flood device is a piece of foam in the base that rises when there is water in the base and closes a microswitch connected. The only way to reset it is by tipping it and thus draining the base.

Check if your lower arm is loose by removing the lower wash basket and tightening the bottom part of the lower wash arm (the part connected to the base).

thanks for the advice , drained all the water out again hopefully it'll be ok , water comes in when i turn the machine on now.

the lower arm wash fixtures are these underneath the filter inside the dishwasher?

It is what holds the lower wash arm in place (you do not need to remove the filter). it is in the centre of the appliance.

My hotpoint aquarious dishwasher flooded floor, found out through this message board cause which was g friend stacked dishes to high causing arm to stop, , wouldent then work, then read that if u tilt machine excess water will run out thus resetting dishwasher worked a treat, so pleased as saved me £70 plus pounds thanks
