Hi,

I'm going to install an electric shower and am trying to decide between a ceiling switch with a cord or a wall mounted switch.

The instructions say a wall mounted switch should be "in an adjacent room", but is that necessary? Is the other end of the bathroom, well out of reach of the shower ok? If a wall switch needs to be in another room, then the ceiling switch wins.

Can anyone offer any help/advice/standards? Thanks...

have a ceiling switch.

its to do with what zone the switch is in. put it this way, you get out of shower you are wet you turn shower off at wall switch, water runs off you into switch................

ever seen water run up a ceiling switch pull cord? (yes it cant thats why pull cord is safer)

Cheers Breezer, ceiling switch it is.

I hadn't thought as far ahead as getting out of the shower and switching it off
