Are any of the other argi lads on here having problems getting onto the site?

Newsite yes but why not copy the old forum database accross or are they just starting from scratch again?

3rd time in around two years.

The old site is non-existent now. New site is http://argi-online.org.uk you might need to fill in form to 'rejoin'.
What form?? Clicking on register on the forum page just gives the message new accounts cannot be registered. Or is it a case of out with the crystal ball??

I am have been a member (or at least I used to be) for a while and I must ask this question

what is the point of ARGI??

They are in the process of transfering all the members over, but things take time and no one gets paid.

Just PM argi to let them know about probs with transferring and/or re-registering.

Watch this space.

Dave I hear what you say but presumably they have a backup copy of the original database (The did keep backups didn't they!!) from before the plug was pulled on the previous site so why did they not just upload this to the new one. Job done in a matter of moments!!

And for an organisation that was trying to give the impression of being professional why no announcement of what has happened and what is going to happen. How long does that take?? Communication always was their problem.

Just PM argi to let them know about probs with transferring and/or re-registering.
How? Only those registered can use the PM system.

It has been posted on the old argi site about the new site and filling in the new form for a while now, otherwise I wouldn't be able to access it

I don't know if the PM is working yet, I think there are teething troubles with site.

I think that they thought that as no one was a computer expert and only people like you and me it would be easier to start a new site rather than try to update the existing one.

I have placed a post in the members area as well indicating the frustration of members like yourself.

Hopefully there may be a post on here to help sort out problems.

Note these are only my personal answers and would hope that any members who cannot access the new site show the necessary restraint and patience whilst all is resolved ;)

what is the point of £orgi?
what do £orgi do for you?
how much do £orgi charge you to work legally?
how many prosecutions have £orgi seen through to the end?
how many illegals have they prosecuted?

just a few questions for you to mull over   if you can answer them then you may see the point of argi. argi is a lone voice in a corrupt industry which has gone downhill since £orgi registration became mandatory,,and before any starts on about £orgi bashing you are wrong we need a register of competant GAS INSTALLERS that is not open to abuse the way the current set up is,it is known as a monopoly and the people who hold that register have abused there position for too long now

nd still do.

Yep my biggest gripe with £corgi is they don't get their own house in order. So many corupt rgi's taking the ****. As the number of AR and ID's from GWN inpections shows.

Still yet to find a fully legal steamer installed in SE London

Last Wednesday had a new steamer with the buiding notice next to the boiler. I even met the installer. He'd put TRV's in the room with the stat and stuffed a plastic bag in the hole around the flue on the outside wall. It was also jammed up against the soffit well within the min clearance.

Friday attempted a LGSR. Condense was not ccompliant, cooker well below worktop (charred edges), dodgy gas fire. Told owner to get back installer to sort out the boiler - he ended up issueing a bent LGSR - didn't give a toss.

Sorry Alan, my typo. Meant I had just PM'd argi to let them know members on here are having problems.

They are aware and obviously don't want to lose any members.

As previously said, when it is being run/set up by members in their spare time we all have to be patient whilst problems are resolved.

We all know of bugs that we get on £orgi site and look what we all have to pay them for, in my opinion, very little in return apart from regs and hassle
