Hi all

I'm not too sure whether this post should be here or in the decorating forum

I am trying to screw some wooden batons around the top of my daughters oriel (bay) bedroom window so that I can secure a curtain runner to the wooden baton

The problem is I cannot find any wooden joists above the plaster to get a fixing on and obviously the batons are not holding by screwing onto the plasterwork

There is no access space above the area to get up into to put some wooden supports from above

Is there a way around this???

Thanks Breezer-super advice. Do you think they'll be strong enough to hold a piece of wood securely to the plaster?

Pardon my ignorance but what is sticks like **** ???
