When the dude comes to rig up my boiler..... Will he throw a wobbler if I present him with this arrangement to connect the gas ?

If so what should I be presenting him with ?
I guess a few thousand miles of gas tape hanging around might be a goer too .

The big brass/silver & Yellow contraption came with the boiler, no idea what the tech term for it is ..... But I know it carries gas :)

i guess this must be the gas connection for your viessmann boiler. the fitting is fine it look to be the right tapered thread type. what i don't under stand is why they make it 1/2 inch and not 3/4 or 22mm to run good pipe size all the way to the boiler?

Germans for you i guess

A cup of tea, a pot of cash, and your undying trust and gratitude.

Umm tea I can handle, the rest of it works on a barter system....... He overlooks the invoicing & I reciprocate wiv his spiffing new alarm system

I'm doubt that they'll be beating a path to your door.

That sounds like a contender for first place in the "Things that won't make the blindest bit of difference to anything" competition.

Oh well, now you put it like that, I find myself suitably admonished.

Pardon me for interrupting another episode of the wild and wacky John M sitcom, starring D.I.Wyer as a manipulative and over-confident alarm installer who thinks he knows everything about plumbing and heating. It's a hoot.

So please, do continue; each episode is better than the last.

I can't wait to hear the new catchphrases: "Ooh, sue you sir!", "I'm cheap!", and "What a gas day".

Softus ...... "It is better to keep silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt"

I have no problem admitting I know little about heating, plumbing, brain surgery etc etc.... Perhaps you should take a leaf out of my book & know when its just probably not worth the bother

Wassamatter John? Encountered a situation you have no control over and can't manipulate? Finding that life isn't all crazy and funny all of the time?

Is your "book" telling you that this is worth the bother?

When life deals me Lemons ....( Which it certainly has on this occasion) I make lemonade
