I have just received my new ryobi stuff from the US, imported the torch as a trial, and it got here OK, so proceeded to order, the battery charger
and the 2.4 Lithium batteries as seperate items, cost me just under the ton for the lot delivered < Fantastic>

Neede to buy a 100w inverter for using the charger but so far all OK, - only used them once though to try them out , looking for a new project to try them out fully.

the new battery charger does charge the old batteries.

The combo pack at 159 on ebay looks like a good deal - however you will get caught for import tax.

i got mine from both suppliers on ebay Earth13 and someone else - no issues, too the cheapest postal offer and they arrived three weeks later

Buy a basic 110volt site transformer - cheap, bags of capacity, simple and will do the job. I run my Porter-Cable corded stuff on one

Well they do say that everything's bigger, and better (and cheaper  ) in the good ol' US of A.

That must be a spelling error at screwfix.

I can't see Ryobi having different batteries for the US and the UK - I would assume they are just all produced the same, in some Chinese factory.

Alternatively, its' the Yank adverts which are wrong and they are all 2AH batteries instead!

I just hope the new lithium charger is a bit more intelligent than the current ones
