TAPS - WATER EFFECT - HOW TO GET THIS? (PIX)

Hi,

I was wondering how to achieve this kind of water out my taps in my kitchen and also in my bathroom. Its sort of like a frothy style when it comes out.

Do I have to have special taps?

Here is my present tap water running, just rungs normally

And this is the effect I went, the frothy style

I look forward to anyones reply!

You need aerators like these,

You would need a plumbers merchants rather than a diy store.

how easy are they to fit?

would I be able to do it myself?

It really depends on your tap, have a look underneath at the spout and see if there is an internal thread, if there is just a hole then no you won't be able to fit them. Take the tap off and take it to a plumbers merchant and ask if they have aerators to fit it/them.

can I buy new taps if the aerators dont fit my present ones?

can they work on any water tubes yeh?

You can buy new taps with aerators fitted if yours won't accept them.

If you want to be 100% on correct tap size take your old tap in with you when picking the new one.

Can the aerators slow down the water flow, do they need more pressure to get water through them?
