Hi,

I am looking for an idea on what to do with the eye sore in my room in the below pics, I have also listed the dimensions. It is a built in wardrop but want to change it, as I hate the look of it. Any ideas?

How is it built in. I can see the ceiling, it is proud of the wall and there is nothing either side? Just knock it down ;)

well it is a built in wardrop behind the doors, and there is another room behind mine and that has a built in wardrop aswell, so knocking down the wall is not an option.

I don't know what I want really, just something different and better looking, thought about something like this.

But I am only 18, and don't have a clue how to go about doing something like this or where to get the stuff, any help would be really appreciated!

You could get a pair of sliding wardrobe doors from the likes of Stanley or similar from B&Q. But they are pricey and can be loud on the floor. I'd get a pair, because then it'd look like you had twice as much storage space, AND it would let you expose the whole wardrobe at once. One could be a mirrored door.

Alternatively a new set of hinged doors wouldn't do any harm.

Thanks guys!!

I am just picking up things as I go along, so aint got a clue!

Will look into the sliding doors and mirror, do you think it iwll be possible to get them at that size?

I had a horrible feeling this was going to be something to do with your wife or girlfriend!

Further to what's been said, we got somilar sliding wardrobes built by a local company here in Northern Ireland, but they're not much use to you.

Companies like Sharps will do the complete job including design ideas etc, but they won't be cheap.

Since it seems to be just a door frame, the B&Q or Ikea options would probably be the most cost effective.

It's an odd shape, deep enough to be a walk-in type wardrobe, but I'm not sure it's wide enough. Might be worth trying to see if you could make that work though.
