Hello,

I need some advice with fitting a tap to a bath. I got the taps (and the bath from the bathstore, but it appears the taps don't come with fitting instructions just a datasheet containing measurements.

I wondered if someone on here would be able to tell me the connector I need in order to hook up these taps 12mm copper pipe?

What would you recommend?

Please see the pictures below for furher info.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Do you mean 12mm pipe?

They should be on 22mm ideally, hence the size of those tails.

More likely to be 15 mm pipe.

Take the taps to a plumbers merchant who will have 1/2 in or 3/4 flexi hoses. :D

Well the pipe coming into the house is an iron pipe that is reduced to a 12mm copper pipe. So if I were to use 22mm pipe it would still be coming from 12mm.

thanks for the fast reply.

What size is the paper clip!!

Looks like 15mm to me.

Is the bath supplied from stored water?

In any case you need two 22mm tap connectors and two 22/15 reducers to get on to your 15mm pipe.

Oops sorry yes its 15mm pipe. (just got my calipers out :D)

Thanks for the help I shall go and get a couple of reducers as you suggest.

Incidentally, I take it that it is not best practice for the main water spur to be on 15mm and should be on 22mm with 15 spurs leading to sinks toilets and 22mm piping to a bath?

Yes it would be preferable but I guess in your place you haven't had any undue problems so there is no problem, really!! I expect it takes ages for your bath to fill etc

If you ever need to replace it take it up to 22mm.
