Are there any rules and regulations that stop me refitting my own bathroom? I am quite competent to do so in theory, but i have no official plumbing qualifications. If i was to do the refit, then got a mate whos a qualified spark to do the dangerous bits - shower, cross-bonding etc...would this be ok?

i am sure you can't do no worse than alot of bathroom installs i've been to.
9 / 10 have broken 1 reg or another.
if it's not the soil stack, or electrical, or check valves missing etc.

Everything is basicaly in place pipe-wise. Theres only a few minor alterations for the new suite to drop into place. Theres only realy the shower box thats 'out of my hands' so to speak.
I wasnt sure if there was any recent new rules to stop me doing the job officialy, thats all.

If you dont tell them ,How will they know?

Corgi seem quite happy to let non registered installers get away with it!!
