I will be laying hardboard in my house soon prior to laying carpet, but was wondering on the correct procedure for treating the Hb before laying it, I know that it needs to be treated with water before going down, but to what extent, do i sprinkle water over the Hb or do I soak it. Secondaly as it its only 3mm and my nail gun would deem to be to powerful, what nails should I use to hold it down, or should I screw it? oh and lastly which side goes down and which side faces up? cheers
