you must be reading a different bbc report regarding 'already in production'...

plus have you also seen the 'reports' on safety?

this type will never get into general production, the oil sheiks wont allow it, too much for them to lose.

Nothing to do with Oil Sheiks - it just isn't a replacement for a BMW.

No carbon!, how is the air compressed - a couple of donkeys on a treadmill, or an electrically driven compressor, our old factory engineer reckoned compressed air was one of the most inefficient forms of energy

So your saying that the people who make billions off oil are going to sit back and let some people make loads cheaper cars that do not use their oil?

Oil is running out. The cartels are not keen to just about give it away as they do today (petrol is cheaper than bottled water). Not only that, the compressed air used in such a car is compressed by compressors powered by generators using electricity generated by - oil and gas. Instead of slagging me off, why don't you listen for a change? You just might learn something.

I used to have a model aircraft engine that was compressed air powered, used to run for all of 15 secs. Scale it up take the weight of the car into account, it may run for a couple of minutes ;)
