Hello,

I've several lighting switches with pull cords in parts of the house with no light at all at night and we have to grope around trying to find the toggles. Anyone know of something that would help in seeing them in the dark?

Luminous paint, I believe, only works by reflecting what light there is and there isn't any. Is there something like small glowing led buttons available?

leave the lights on?

pet glow-worms in little jars?

buy a miner's helmet?

PIR's?

some sort of a switch triggered by a door?

Or you could look for a flourescent type paint which will absorb light in the day and glow at night...

Do these places get light in the day?

Hello All,

Sorry about not coming back to you sooner. My computer has been playing up.

I like the idea of flourescent paint if it absorbs light. I didn't know it did that. Yes, the pullcords do get light in the day so it would work.

I'll look into that and the gas filled acrylic gizmo. It's reminded me that some of the military watches have similar little tubes in their hands. Apparently these are much more visible at night than whatever most watches use.

Thanks for your help. Hope you had a good Easter/

Hi RF Lighting,

I didn't know that sort of stuff existed! Seems to be just what I want. I'll have whichever one you think best for my application.

If you think the tape is better, I'll happily have half a roll if you can accommodate me. If the paint is best I'll order a pot.

Thanks for your guidance on this.
