Hello,

I'm looking to change my current combi oil boiler for a wood pellet boiler with heat storage tank. This is a tank-in-tank type with inner containing mains pressure hot water. I would like to keep my combi as backup, feeding into the heat storage tank. Does this sound possible, having the combi doing heating but not hot water?

Thanks

You can either just blank off the HW outlet, bu it would be better to disconnect the heatstore and all associated bits.

Hi, it's a Grant Combi 70 Mk2 20kW

This boiler doesn't have a separate dhw store the main (and only) jacket primes continuously for hw production through DV and plate HE. You may have to find a way to fool/disconnect the store stat to stop it reheating itself after CH was satisfied.
