Hi..havn't been on this site for a while..some of you may remember me...Zampa! for instance.

Right...how much of a shelf life does textured vinyl have...

Started a job for a little old lady....I know, their the worst!..anyway...using Vymura Luxury textured vinyl. She says that she liked the paper so much that she bought for her living room...3 YEARS AGO!.... that she decided to buy enough to do her kitchen as well....yes we all know that it isnt realy suitable for a kitchen but thats by the by..ok..so 10 min soak the paper says...get on top of the ladder....the stuff falls apart in my hands...dont believe this...try the second piece thats probably only had 5 min soak..still the same...and again for the third.....is it just toooo old...or is it me..(not too old that is.) but sometimes i wonder..
would aprechiate some feedback..cheers.

Can you not ask the manufacture?
If they say it has a short shelf life tell them you havnt had it long, may get free replacement

Not really.. Only with those orrible thin Laura Ashely type papers... Paste too strong.. ?

Paper been left in sunlight.. Gone brittle?

Did have same ish problem with some old washable paper.. woman bought it cheap... 5yrs before I arrived  knife blade was impossible... had to relearn to use scissors  took me ages lol.

Yeah..she went out a bought some more..finished now..cheers for reply confident......actually i knew it was the paper as i took some home and tried it with just water and it was still the same..as soon as it got wet it went almost completly transparent and when you tried to fold the paper over, the embossed part started to flake off the front lol.
