multifuel stove

Hi lads and lasses,I am taking out our old ineffieciant living flame gas fire out and replacing it with a arrow acorn multifuel stove in our 1930s semi can anybody tell me if i need to fit a flue liner in the chimney ,it as been swept and smoke tested thanks Andy. :LOL:

I've fitted these in our property.

From what I've read, you should almost certainly line it. Make sure you get a multi fuel linner and not a gas or oil liner as they won't cope with the heat.

The heat from a modern stove is far more than the open fire the chimney was disigned for could generate. It also gives you protection from chimney fires, a draught better suited for a stove etc.

I bought ours online from www.fluesystems.com. They were _way_ cheaper than any of our local suppliers.
