    Rebuilding an old chimney stack

Thanks for your reply Johnny 2007 I am a little surprised that the quote didn't mention replacing lead flashing. If this is the case I feel this quote is on the high side from your quote.

    Rebuilding an old chimney stack

I have noticed some penetrating damp from inside parents bedroom. After investigation we have found this damp to be probably coming from a corroded chimney stack. We have had an estimate to rebuild the stack with the existing bricks. The estimate from this work (builder says it will take 2 men...

    Boiler flue into carport

Thanks for comments on this gone round the houses a few times and spoken to as many "experts" as I could find . The general consensus from gas central fitters is fitting a boiler flu under a canopy is a no no. Spoke to Baxi technical team who were more concerned about possible damage done to...

    Boiler flue into carport

Thanks for the comment. So to make it clear to me the plume kit moves this slightly acidic vapour to a point higher up in the port. Would the car still be able to go into the port and would it affect neighbours adjoining port which would be approx 3m from the discharge of the plume management kt.

    Boiler flue into carport

I would definitely use a gas safe engineer to fit plume deflector kit. This could well be the answer to my problem. Does anyone know how good these kits are and do they stop all pluming ?

Thanks Chris, that was my thoughts to. If have had two gas engineers round both would like to put holes through the porch roof which I would like to avoid at all costs. I need to move my combi boiler from its present location . One area I would like to consider moving to is a large pantry type cupboard. Thanks for the advice picasso this boiler operates intermittently and can work sometimes for 20 mins I would guess that the pump either works or it doesn't or is that a very simplistic view .
