Deanta Ely Oak veneered internal door thickness

Thank you for your honest answer. Kinda had a feeling It would be a non starter. I say luckily but it's not really, we have an under stairs storage area which needs a door being cut at the top and bottom. (or just the top) What my wife has suggested (which is a good idea) is planing/cutting...

Deanta Ely Oak veneered internal door thickness

After some advice please. I've recently bought internal doors to fit new. Was steered away from a few that had minimal lippings and was recommended Déanta as they have 18mm each side. Magic as I've recently had a doorway moved in the bathroom and the width would have been touch and go with the...

    Grave stone adhesive

Cheers for everyone's thoughts. When J&K mentioned Epoxy resin, milliput jumped in my head but I believe the adhesion/bond isn't as great but as a modelling clay etc fine. I'll look into the chemical anchor set. It's really brilliant white (after using wet and forget as 2 years ago it was...

    Grave stone adhesive

Odd request I know. Long story short. Our family white marble gravestone was dislodged about 18 months ago when landscaping contractors was using a mini digger to remove a stump behind it and moved it. It now moves back and forth in the breeze. Seeing it's been there 50 years without being...

Cracked brick repair for plug and screw

Hi all, After some advice what I could use to repair this cracked brick that's being used as an anchor point for American oak window boards. Brown plug using a 7mm drill and 5x60 screws. Not sure if I've not drilled the hole deep enough for the screws that may have caused it to fracture the...

    Single tile splashback

Can anyone give me some recommendations on tile adhesive and grouting for just 1 single tile used as a cloakroom toilet basin splashback. I'd prefer separate products as I've heard the combined aren't great. I'd obviously like to buy the mapei which looks to be the better kit but for a 800x600...

Wilko solar light PIR too sensitive

Hi all, I bought some solar lights with a PIR sensor as recently our nearby street light has been replaced with an LED type which isn't as bright as it was/different spread of light. It can only be a good thing but now where I could see my front door keyhole, now we struggle. The thing is, the...

Drayton Thermostat not turning boiler off

Ok bit more info. Its decided to work again. The thermostat works NC with 240v at a lesser temp. Switching it to run gives 0v. I wasn't getting these voltages before so I'm edging my bets it's a relay in the programmer that's breaking down.

Drayton Thermostat not turning boiler off

Grohe basin waste to bottle trap issue

Thanks alot. Id planned on modifying the internal diameter if needed but didn't want to do it unnecessarily if it made something none standard. First attempt at anything like this and even my younger brother that was a plumber for 10 years before he gave it up, suggested it but said they should...

Good evening, I'm currently revamping the small downstairs loo where everything bar the toilet is out. We have bought the new basin, mixer tap, waste click/clack and bottle trap but have found an issue with the trap spigot not sitting in the click/clack. I've attached some photos which will no...

Small toilet floor hiding water pipes

Hiya Ken, Thanks for taking the time to give me your thoughts. I will be taking into consideration the insulation of the heating. Nothing is currently insulated at all, so anything better than I have is a bonus right now. I've successfully filled in a portion of the floor which had cracked...

Small toilet floor hiding water pipes

Hi folks, After abit of advice. At the moment our small toilet has surface boxed water feeds to toilet, basin and CH. All the other rooms have channeled ducts which are topped with a floor board which is recessed. I'd like to replicate that in the toilet as the boxing in looks unsightly. The...
