I use the texecom app when out and about so can’t turn encryption off.

I was excited to see this and maybe try it and then I saw that you have to disable encryption so that was the end of that.

When I upgraded from v1 to v2 of the app it asked me to setup an email address and password.

I believe (Although I haven’t tried it yet) that if you log in as the installer, any updates will be automatically offered.

I appreciate all the help you give to users on here as you’ve also helped me in the past. All I meant to say was that I know the texecom system quite well now but I wasn’t sure what you were telling him to do or what he needed beyond the installer code.

As someone who has installed my own elite 64w, 8xp and smartcom and therefore knows his system well i don’t have a clue what you’re trying to tell this guy who clearly needs more step by step direction.

Just seen bootlace ferrules which I never knew existed. Are these recommended for use in alarms as I think they would make getting the wires to stay in whilst tightening the screws a great help.
