Or you could just put the vent back the way it was and lag it, your not losing much heat through the pipework if its lagged and your problem is...
its an auto bypass valve, just turn the plastic cap till your back at .3.
If you want to zone your house using 2 or more stats you need 2 port valves installed in the pipework.
So your not even heating up half the cylinder, even a 36" will do just over half, don't suppose there is a boss for a bottom entry immersion heater ?
How long is the immersion heater and how tall is your cylinder ?
Not sure why herts is recommending a slow close valve when its on a pumped supply, the fast close he recommended earlier ie fluidmaster ect are...
Or as your in an apartment and any leak would show.....get a foot pump and recharge the red vessel.

Its very simple, the diagram stem posted shows just how simple it is but somehow you managed to c0ck up fitting two wires.
Drop the kw rating to 10 in d0.
Why are you using the immersion heaters ? the gas boiler should be doing the work, the small rubber washer in the draincock/commissioning valve is...
Try setting the kw rating in d0 to 10 and that should stop the noise in your rads and eliminate the need for a bypass.
Wont be the pump if you have hot water.
Is the analogue timer still in place and do you still have hot water ?
Do your self a favour and get someone in before you completely **** up your pcb.
