How do we figure out why our Texecom Premier Elite wireless keypad is tampering?

The tamper microswitch appears to be able to move freely. It's difficult to see if the tamper fitting on the back plate is positioned correctly in relation to the tamper microswitch, and the instruction manual does not shed much light on this. I've reinserted the keypad into the back plate, so I...

How do we figure out why our Texecom Premier Elite wireless keypad is tampering?

Thank you, Handymanjo. I'll change the batteries, although, as I said, Wintex shows them as being ok. How do I identify the tamper microswitch on the PCB, please? Cheers

How do we figure out why our Texecom Premier Elite wireless keypad is tampering?

We have a Texecom Premier Elite 64W with a Premier LCDLP-W Wireless Keypad. Over the past few days, a tamper has been activating, seemingly out of the blue and attributable to this wireless keypad rather than any of the sensors. How do we ascertain what's causing the wireless keypad to raise an...

    Intergas xclusive headache

We have an Intergas xclusive 24 which is now 3 years old. The pressure gauge packed up and so we contacted Intergas and they sent one of their engineers, to do a warranty assessment. My wife, who was home at the time, informed me that the engineer blamed the fault on system sludge. A debatable...

    Hiding Community Fibre's internal gubbins!

Thanks, John D v2.0. We'll look at having the exterior and interior boxes near where we can easily pull the wire under the stairs. I appreciate the feedback. Are the optic modem and router in the airing cupboard?

    Hiding Community Fibre's internal gubbins!

They didn't know when I contacted Community Fibre, probably because they don't have people cogent with installation, answering the calls! I'd hoped to have a plan pre-install.

    Hiding Community Fibre's internal gubbins!

We're about to have Community Fibre broadband installed, and I need some help understanding the options for installing this inside our house. Our modem (Virgin router) and router are under the stairs, with all the cables hidden in the wall cavities. I'm keen not to have exposed wires and...

Wood burning stove magnet, what's it for and where should it sit?

It could be, the silver clip is part of the magnet itself.

Wood burning stove magnet, what's it for and where should it sit?

Interesting, thank you. Perhaps it's to prevent the lever being moved too far, but it seems a little cumbersome for this purpose.

Wood burning stove magnet, what's it for and where should it sit?

The magnet definitely came with the stove, I just can't recall it's purpose, thanks though.

Wood burning stove magnet, what's it for and where should it sit?

There is a magnet on the underside of our Contura wood burning stove, as shown in the photo, which I accidentally moved recently when adjusting the air flow using the lever which is also shown in the photo. Neither the installation manual, nor a Google search have borne no fruit in telling me...

Rotary/dremel tool attachment for filing metal?

Thanks for the tip big-all, all is well here because it is a sliding door lock.

Rotary/dremel tool attachment for filing metal?

Thank you, I don't think using a scouring pad will work here and I can't seem to bend it, so filing it down is the only option.

Rotary/dremel tool attachment for filing metal?

I'm trying to file down this edge, because the lock feature is curved and catches on it.

Rotary/dremel tool attachment for filing metal?

Thanks conny, I'd seen these attachments, but I wasn't sure if they were the right thing to use to file metal down.

Rotary/dremel tool attachment for filing metal?

I have to file down the edge of some door strike plates. Is there a rotary/Dremel tool attachment that would be able to do this please? Thanks!

Thanks Handymanjo, I only have two to edit, so this should work. Thanks again.

Texecom Premier Elite 48 - how do I discover which user codes are active & have a programmed code?

Thanks Handymanjo, it's not the codes that I want to know, it's which User Numbers, eg 003, 004, have a code, not what their codes are. Can I see this via the keypad?

Texecom Premier Elite 48 - how do I discover which user codes are active & have a programmed code?

Thanks Handymanjo, I do have Wintex, but I'd like to know if I can do this via the keypad, because the panel is in an awkward position and so hooking up Wintex is a pain.
