Rishi -This Government will have integrity, professionalism and accountability

What PM’s say when they take office is often opposite to what they subsequently do Any takers: “Where there is discord, may we bring harmony. Where there is error, may we bring truth. Where there is doubt, may we bring faith. And where there is despair, may we bring hope” Blup

Rishi -This Government will have integrity, professionalism and accountability

It's probably more to do with personal political embarrassment than confirming a conspiracy theory. Blup

    Diversity gone mad

I think the reference to useless white males is to candidates who are useless and happen to be white, better to recruit competent people from under represented groups. Blup

Boris accused of breaking the law again

    Extending outside socket.

Making angled MDF wardrobe carcass secure

Perfect Mitring might not be achievable, if not secure mdf to the battens (ensuring they are level and plumb), butting the two panels together and covering with a strip or fillet. If you don't need the back panels, the alternative is using the wall and ceiling to complete the enclosure. Blup

Pergola walkway on a slope advice please

Impossible to say really without seeing the lay of the land and relationship to nearby buildings and fences/walls. The brain plays tricks with what the eye sees and can make the level seem sloped and the sloping level. Keep it level, you're talking about less than an inch and a half between...

    Dodgy Sue

Cruella’s instinct was to protect her personal and political reputation (yeah right) and minimise adverse publicity in the run up to her leadership bid when rishy goes. Nothing to do with awareness of the dangers of speeding. All this from a Minister who thinks her rawanda policy is a working...

Advice for drilling through a door jamb

You can get a very good quality drill like Makita when on offer for not much more than a cheap no name. 18 volt will suffice around 40/50nm. I have this drill which is fine for basic diy screwdriving, drilling and percussion drilling...

Multi Gym in 2nd floor box room. Weight on floor?

i would think the activity would be as big a factor as the dead load. Place it as near to the wall as possible because the joists are able to take a much higher compressive load than in the middle. Blup

Advice for drilling through a door jamb

Should be ok as it appears to be wood, use a wood or hss steel bit. You can clamp sacrificial pieces of timber where the drill bit emerges to reduce tear out. If you don't own a cordless drill this is the ideal opportunity to get one. Blup
