The damp course is two blue bricks. I think I might run a small chemical damp course just above the blue brick line and see if that does the trick

I thought at one stage it might have been to do with the kitchen appliances against the wall. But everything is dry and it's a cavity wall.

Hi Relatives have moved into a house with suspended floors. They used to have a wood fire in their old living room. Is it possible to have a fire like this put in a room with a suspended floor? I have googled this and I can't find anything. I assume it would need a hearth putting in?
