Paint blistering under very specific circumstances. Any idea why?

Hi. Thanks. I'll order a sensor now. Over winter I occasionally had to wipe maybe the bottom 6th of the bedroom windows first thing in the morning because condensation was present. Could that much be enough to cause the issues described?

Paint blistering under very specific circumstances. Any idea why?

I painted the house last summer. Over the winter the paint has blistered in places, but only upstairs and only on the outer walls (or within a few cm of the outer walls) and only up near the ceiling. In those places where the paint has fallen off after blistering, the old paint which I had...

Shorten steel gas pipe without rethreading?

It is, because I measured it with a digital caliper. In fact it's 21.87mm.

Shorten steel gas pipe without rethreading?

It splits: one branch connects to a gas hob, the other to a boiler.

Shorten steel gas pipe without rethreading?

OK, so it would be simple - and legal - for them to do?

Cheers. Looks like I'll be sawing my cupboard then.

Shorten steel gas pipe without rethreading?

As you can see I have a 22mm gas pipe sticking out of the ground. Such is its height, and distance from the wall that I either need to cut a hole in the new kitchen cupboard to accommodate it, or get the pipe shortened. I imagine it could be done but would need a specialist to rethread it...

Is this gas connection legal? If so, where can I get a replacement flexipipe or rubber washers?

Thanks. It's been in the house since before I bought it unfortunately, so I have no idea who did it. I've owned the property for the last 7 years or so, and discovered this when I took out the old kitchen. Weirdly the connector on the brand new hob is 1/2 inch BSP. Are there not gas specific...

Is this gas connection legal? If so, where can I get a replacement flexipipe or rubber washers?

My hob is connected by what appears to be an ordinary 1/2 inch BSP to 1/2 inch BSP flexi-pipe. Is this allowable? Maybe it's a 'special' kind of pipe, but I can't find anything like it online with a search for 'gas flexi pipe'. The installation passed gas safety checks for several years but I...

Where can I get this fibre washer please?

Thanks. The boiler is an Ideal Logic Combi 30. A photo of the part is in the link I put in my original post.

Where can I get this fibre washer please?

I can't do that because it crumbled to bits. I'm not sure I have all the pieces.

Where can I get this fibre washer please?

Idea Boiler CH Flow Pack In order to fit a magnaclean I had to be able to pull the pipe far enough away from the wall to get the cutter on it. Doing so meant removing the pressure gauge block from the bottom of the boiler. The washer came out in bits. I'm amazed that it sealed. I can't seem...

Help me identify mystery plumbing fittings for easy replacement

But making that joint must have been harder work than running the pipe through the wall to the ouside!!!

Help me identify mystery plumbing fittings for easy replacement

Maybe that's how they did it back in the day? There must be some precedent? I can't believe that someone came up with that from scratch.

Help me identify mystery plumbing fittings for easy replacement

Cheers. I assumed that but then when I measured the waste pipe that I have at home that I know is 40mm, the outside diameter was 40.5mm, so it made me question it. Thanks.

Help me identify mystery plumbing fittings for easy replacement

Here is the picture of how the cistern overflow joined the sink waste for those who were curious: Also the sink waste has an external diameter of 34.7mm (measured with digital calipers), but the only available sizes to buy are 32mm and 40mm. Any idea what it could be?

The cistern overflow connects to the sink waste, which then connects to the soil pipe. Where should the cistern overflow go?
