Female Shower Threaded Connector for Grohe Shower

Yea getting the olive off them is going to be the tricky part. Right now I've got 30-40mm sticking out the , but if I can't get the olive off and cut the pipe, I'm not left with enough pipe. Is it possible to remove the olive without damaging or cutting the pipe? Hacksaw on it and pilers to...

Female Shower Threaded Connector for Grohe Shower

Makes sense, i'll grab some pictures when I'm back. In the mean time, I've ordered some of these that look to take the 1/2" to 3/4" in a straight line, so hopefully the shower bar will connect directly to these https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0B3WSTYLV?psc=1&smid=A1YX0FTXIRXMJU&ref_=chk_typ_imgToDp

Female Shower Threaded Connector for Grohe Shower

Thanks. I'm not sure those fixing kits would work, as the Z connectors increase in size from 15mm, to what looks like 22mm, although they are currently already at 150mm centers. Are these fixing kits available in a 15-22 female adapter? I wouldn't need the cover I dont think as it comes...

Female Shower Threaded Connector for Grohe Shower

Our old shower mixer has started leaking, so purchased a new Grohe shower. To fix the mixer bar however, you're provided with the adapter below. Looking online, the instructions basically come down to "screwing it into the wall connector." The "issue" here though, is that my shower pipes are...

Paint not sticking onto existing paint

Father in law has just come round (builder a lot of decorating experience) Basically just doing the same thing. 2nd coat covering a bit better but still pulling. Expects it'll need a 3rd. His suggestion is basically to do what you've suggested, however I think I'm going to look into some...

Paint not sticking onto existing paint

This cutting in and going, back over to cut in to the edge was done in seconds. Rolling is the same, roll down, go back up over the wet edge and it just pulls it all back off

Paint not sticking onto existing paint

I can let it dry, as I've got no choice problem is, it needs a real good sand now as it's basically become orange peel. Which primer would you suggest. I had a look and looks like this is going to get pricey

Paint not sticking onto existing paint

I'm absolutely perplexed by this one, as I've painted every wall in the house without any issues. The hallways though, has got a Dulux silk paint currently on it, much like the rest of the house had. Now I'm repainting it, using Dulux Matt, but no matter what I do, the paint just will no...

Manhole under fence and under raised planter

Only if you don't do it properly and use some cheap crap. Haven't decided on a finish yet anyway. Might be white, might be coloured, might be tiled

Manhole under fence and under raised planter

Not sure where you got the assumption we've not even taken the top off from. We took the top off when we exposed it. There's only 1 pipe in it, which comes from our soil stack out of the kitchen. Turn on kitchen tap, water flows to manhole outside kitchen window, down to this manhole, which...

Manhole under fence and under raised planter

There's a bench being built into the front of it, so would look a little odd :D

Manhole under fence and under raised planter

Given the manhole is just for our property and only for services the kitchen, it's not going to be overflowing with sewage any time soon. We're not making it inaccessible. Just needs a lid removing from the planter to get to it

Manhole under fence and under raised planter

Yep, really doesn't go down far at all. 2ft tops

Manhole under fence and under raised planter

The previous owners had a deck over it for 10 years. We moved in, ripped out the old deck boards, framed the joists again and decked over the top (without knowing it was there) So maybe in 20 years, at least 10, it's never needed access. There's also 2 manholes for the run, about 4 meters away...

Manhole under fence and under raised planter

Yep that's what I was going with. Builder mentioned potential of insurance issues etc if it comes into play etc. Wasn't sure what the regs were. I just assumed so long as it was accessible by whatevers means you want (other than permanently building over it and digging up) then it was ok

Manhole under fence and under raised planter

It's shared with the neighbour, active but in pretty good condition. Also can't really move it due to the angles at play and housing alignment (also a ridiculously big job for pretty much zero reward)

Manhole under fence and under raised planter

We're having the garden redone, and we've got all the designs down including a raised patio. Builders have ripped up the old patio, and found a manhole for the sewage that was buried under the old patio, but also partly under the boundary fence (original installation fence from developers 25y...
