Can anyone recommend a set of 210mm blades for a Dewalt DWE7485 table saw?

Thank you mate, I took your advice and ordered the Saxtons - got a 40t and an 80t and they work absolutely perfectly. Very frustrating - not one single review mentions how difficult it was to find the right size blades. If I'd known I'd have just spent more money on the 10 inch model...

Can anyone recommend a set of 210mm blades for a Dewalt DWE7485 table saw?

Just been burned buying one from Trend which claimed to fit, but the kerf was way too narrow for the riving knife. If anyone has this saw, would they be able to link me to a 40t and a 60t blade that absolutely positively work for this saw? Thanks!

Switching fluorescent light for a normal pendant fixture

Nah man, fluorescent strips never look good in a room unless it's an office. On the other note, my entire house is Philips Hue, and they don't make a striplight, so it's the only light I can't control. It's a utility room, but it's got a really expensive kitchen installed in it that's all John...

Would like some advice on what to do with this unused space in the roof..

Hi everyone, Bare with me, I'll try to explain this as best I can. We've got a loft conversion bedroom in which there remains a bit of eaves space behind the wall. Here's a picture: So what this is is the space directly behind one of the walls in my bedroom. To get to this, there is a...

Switching fluorescent light for a normal pendant fixture

Hi everyone.. Is this possible? I can't find anything that actually describes how to do it. I have a really unsightly fluorescent light in my utility room that I'd like to switch to a normal pendant light.. is this doable, and if so, is it a job you can DIY with some research?

New radiator sits 30mm further out from the wall, so the pipes no longer align - options?

Hi everyone, I'm just about to hang a new radiator, and it's clear that with the brackets supplied, the radiator intake and outtake holes will be 65mm out from the wall, and the inlet and outlet pipe are only 35mm. Here's a pic There is a moderate amount of play in the pipes, and I could...

Lime plaster crumbling away on internal wall

HIya, Hey thanks so much. Sorry for the late reply - I thought I'd turned on notifications to my email but clearly hadn't. Thanks for such an in depth response, that tells me all I needed to know. My plan to rip out the wardrobe for put on the back burner and I just proceeded with repairing the...

Lime plaster crumbling away on internal wall

Hi guys a merry Christmas to everyone! I recently bought a house, it’s 1905, and the photo attached concerns the inside of a built in wardrobe. The wall is a west-facing external wall, and the two holes shown are so loose you can pick them away with just a fingernail, and it goes all the way...

Attaching a 44x44mm baton to a solid wall + another question about damp walls

Hi there. Total novice here that could use some really specific directions on what to do here. I need to screw a 44x44mm baron into a solid wall. Could anyone link me to exactly what I need to buy to achieve this in the simplest way possible - ideally the plugs I’d need, the screw I should...

Need idiots instructions for wiring tridonic ballast

The lights came with a terminal block on the end, I want to put a plug where the terminal block is and plug it into an outlet. See, the problem is that I'm a photographer, not an electrician, so I don't really know the correct terminology. That gives people like you a great opportunity to...

Need idiots instructions for wiring tridonic ballast

Buying two doesn't solve my problem, since I need them to be mains powered, and need the bulbs to be identically spaced, but further apart than they are in a traditional bay. I also need the bays to be a different shape than a traditional bay. I again need the bays to be coated in a different...

Need idiots instructions for wiring tridonic ballast

Because I can't find one that contains 4 bulbs. I'm building a specialist unit for a specialist job. Christthescott, thanks man. I didn't really understand your post at first, as I didn't actually have the ballast in front of me. Now I have it, it all made perfect sense. Connected it and...

Need idiots instructions for wiring tridonic ballast

It's coll man, I wasn't offended, I realise that I'm doing something potentially dangerous. No problems at all. Just want to know what wires to stick where though. I like I say, if there's something Im missing, let me know, because I will leave it if there's more to it than that.

Need idiots instructions for wiring tridonic ballast

This wouldn't be the most technical or dangerous thing I've done in my life. With all due respect, it's basically just stripping a wire and poking it in a hole. I'm in a garage with a single electrical point and no fire hazards around me of any kind. I don't know what voltage it was...

Need idiots instructions for wiring tridonic ballast

Hi Chris, thanks for the reply. I posted the wrong ballast, I just realised this is the one I have: http://www.controlkings.com/tridonic-atco-t8/22176107.html Is that a different matter? My main issue is the blue and the brown wires that go from the ballast to the lamp sockets. It...

Need idiots instructions for wiring tridonic ballast

Hi, I'm having a bit of trouble with some wiring. I just purchased a tridonic ballasts, and I want to create a new light fixture. I bought a twin strip light, and removed the ballast, and I intend to replace it with the electronic ballast, as well as convert it to mains power. However...
