Worcester Bosch Greenstar 8000 Life problems....Or are they???

Apologies if I wasn't clear snb, but I didn't mean that it stops for 20 minutes each time - I meant 20 minutes in total if we open the tap 2-3 times. Unfortunately, I don't know how big our semi-detached house (built in 1935) is in square meters. I have changed the 3-b1 setting which was on...

Worcester Bosch Greenstar 8000 Life problems....Or are they???

I appreciate what you're say snb, but none of this applies to me. For example the boiler we have is 35KW for DHW and 30KW for CH and it runs 11 radiators max. We don't have any dripping taps at all. The system as per the advice on this forum was balanced, but this issue is simply the fact...

Worcester Bosch Greenstar 8000 Life problems....Or are they???

I could appreciate it if this issue was only with myself, but there's now a considerable number of people on this forum that are complaining about this, so it's clearly become a problem for us. To put the heating on earlier kind of beats the point of energy efficiency because we then end up...

Worcester Bosch Greenstar 8000 Life problems....Or are they???

Thanks snb. I'm already on these settings, but it has made very little difference and all it takes is for someone to open a tap and then we're waiting for ages for the boiler to go back to the higher temperatures, it's just ridiculous.

Worcester Bosch Greenstar 8000 Life problems....Or are they???

You're spot on, but unfortunately neither will Worcester agree, nor will any of the forum members - This is not normal.

Worcester Bosch Greenstar 8000 Life problems....Or are they???

@martyndc88 - I agree with what you're saying and I'm fully aware how combi boilers work, but I have to agree with @Khan82 reply - This boiler is ridiculously slow to switch back from DHW to CH and this excuse that the so-called feature is there to maybe protect the boiler parts or is there to...

Worcester Bosch Greenstar 8000 Life problems....Or are they???

Thanks very much for your help. I've changed pre-heat which was on 1 to 0, and will see how it goes. But to be honest, I doubt it if this is the reason for the issues we're all facing, because the real reason is that there is a long delay in the boiler switching from DHW to CH. For me if I...

Worcester Bosch Greenstar 8000 Life problems....Or are they???

Guys, I'm in exactly the same situation. I've also been advised this is normal, but I feel this is a pointless feature which means we have to run our CH for much longer to warm up. Something is not right and I feel Worcester don't want to admit that this is an issue for many. Can you please...

Worcester Bosch Greenstar 8000 Life problems....Or are they???

Doesn't sound like a big job, so can I do this myself?

Worcester Bosch Greenstar 8000 Life problems....Or are they???

Hi Gasguru, I hope the photos below are more clear for you. You may have missed my earlier post - The installer passed away and the company liquidated, so I can't do anything unfortunately. I thought this was a condensate pipe that simply needed sloping downwards to allow gravity to drain...

Worcester Bosch Greenstar 8000 Life problems....Or are they???

@snb - I see, but do you know what the gas valve symptoms are? Or are they the same as what myself, @Habeeb Ul-Haq and @petit_pablo describe? Also snb, do you know how I can fix the leaking condensate pipe joint? I don't want to call out Worcester until I've fixed the condensate pipe...

Worcester Bosch Greenstar 8000 Life problems....Or are they???

Thanks snb. May I ask how you know this? I mean is there some sort of bulletin or update page? Also recently noticed a small drip from the white condensate pipe (approx. 15mm plastic flo-plast type of pipe going from boiler to outside). Looks like the installer didn't slope the pipe properly...

Worcester Bosch Greenstar 8000 Life problems....Or are they???

Hi Habeeb. Unfortunately not mate. I also want to apologise to everyone who's helped me for not replying sooner. Had lots of things going on lately. But yeah sadly boiler issues still continue.

Worcester Bosch Greenstar 8000 Life problems....Or are they???

Cheers snb. I assume that when you say the flow temp,, you mean the temp that's set by pressing the button on the boiler with icon of a radiator? If that's the case, then that's set to 77C. I apologise, but I'm not so sure what setting(s) you're referring to that could be wrong on the hive...

Worcester Bosch Greenstar 8000 Life problems....Or are they???

Thanks snb. Putting the pump to 4 has made some difference to the radiator and seems more warmer than before. So I then put it up to 6, but unfortunately this hasn't made much more difference. I've also put the boiler to 100%

Worcester Bosch Greenstar 8000 Life problems....Or are they???

Thanks very much snb. So changing the pump to 3 definitely made a difference to the rads heating up more quickly and more than usual. But for some reason one final rad which is in the attic (3rd floor) is only lukewarm. Does increasing the pump to a higher number, actually help with water...

Worcester Bosch Greenstar 8000 Life problems....Or are they???

Thanks so much snb! You've been extremely helpful and I really appreciate it. I've just checked the pump setting and it's current only on 1....I'm not exactly sure how this makes the difference, but isn't that way too low? Also does changing the pump setting to 6 have any drastic negative...

Worcester Bosch Greenstar 8000 Life problems....Or are they???

Thanks denso13 for clarifying that. Maybe snb didn't see the post. Hey snb! Thanks so much!. I have some great news. I followed your suggestion of putting the boiler at max rate. The display changed to a 100% sign and temperature quickly rose to high 80s. Next thing I know is that ALL the...
