Thanks burnerman, sorted it,when the battery was disconnected and then re-connected the autoday setting came into play must b default setting
Forgot to mention have the drive shaft changed, and it looks like the battery was disconnected don't know if this has any thing to do with it

Press the reset button on the timer c if that helps
take the head off the heating valve and shake it.if it rattles the valve knacked
if your sealing both ends fill it with sand,that will be strong enough
