What do you use to cut coving ? I have a std mitre saw but have been told this will not do the job. I have bought some 75mm polystyrene coving from tool station. They sell a wondermitre tool. Would this do the job ?

    Damp concrete floor

I am 100% sure as i can be that there is no leak under ground. The heating system did go through this concrete floor, but i ripped out the whole system and put in a new plastic pipe network and boiler. So nothing was laid under the concrete. The stop tap in the corner is leaking and i...

Does anyone have any knowledge on these epoxy resins for floors ? You can get a slurry one which you mix from powder or there are paintable ones straight from the tub ? What is better ?

    Damp concrete floor

I have a kitchen where the lino has come up today and underneath is all damp. I boarded out the solid floor last march with 5mm ply and put down a lino. I am pretty sure this is not due to human beings, but rather the solid floor is damp. I bought the house to renovate and rent out so...

    Ceiling stained colour

Possibly, but it is the whole ceiling which is a uniform yellowish colour. I know the shower leaked, but it wouldnt affect the whole ceiling, plus it is right in the corner. Just wonder if it will be easier to repaint in magnolia and so hide this problem that way.

I have some big tiles from bandq which are ceramic, but quite thick. It is taking ages to drill holes in them - much longer than in the past. I have bought an £8 drill from tool station and a pointed bit from them as well yesterday. The pointed bit worked only on one hole. The other bit...
