Hi Guys, Need a new boiler for the office at work to heat 6 big rads (doubles 120cm x 60cm) and 2 small ones in the toilets. Been offered a Vokera with 2 years warranty but my first search in Google is putting me off, I'm thinking Worcester or Valliant would be a better choice. What's...

First decorating job of our house!!!!

If you need to use masking tape then make sure it's up to the job, I suggest using frog tape. Use low tack (yellow frog tape) on the emulsion surfaces and remove it as soon as you have finished the job as per the instructions and slowly, if it lifts the paint stop and resume from the other...

Sanding door frames and skirting boards help

If you are using water based paint and having trouble using a brush you should try a gloss roller, try to spread it thin. Down side is it will give a lesser gloss finish, will need an extra coat. It's also less accurate to use and get in to ridges, using the end part works for grooves and...

Mist coat dilution ratio? (Dulux Matt)

Hi, I need to do a mist coat, I have Dulux Matt which says add 10% water on the tin. Reading other threads people are mentioning 25-50%, what should I be using. I will be using Dulux endurance matt for the top coats if that makes a difference.

Box pipes in, fit windows then plaster or plaster first?

Yes, that's correct. I was thinking plastering was the last thing to do but did not know how much repair would be needed after the windows were fitted.

Box pipes in, fit windows then plaster or plaster first?

Hi, Bit of a silly question but I would like the best possible finish.... I will having some pipes boxed in and windows fitted in a few weeks time but the walls also need plastered, should the walls be plastered before the joinery work and window fitting or after or does it make no difference.
