    Subsidence?

I wondered that too looking at it. That photo was taken late at night in the dark with the flash on. Have attached a better brighter photo of the outside wall here. Have also noticed now looking at it in day light that the external wall, at opposite end of the window sill to the end that has...

    Subsidence?

Hi Just looking opinions from anyone who may have some - know only an engineer/surveyor who looks at it in the flesh can say for certain - but just looking opinions in the mean time from anyone who might know more than myself. Below cracks in a house, what are the chances of them being...

    Advice re terraced house

Hi, First of all sorry - I'm pestering this site with questions about house worries. Need the PM to lift this lockdown so I can not lose my mind. But - photos below. The photos are actually of the bottom of a house attached to ours, not our own house. Question as usual is would this be a sign...

    Any crack experts?

Just tested there with a bit of knocking. All those walls sound solid. They are all walls facing the outside. The walls between rooms in the house do sound hollow, but none of these walls with cracks do, they all sound solid. Should I be worried about the cracks? Thanks C

    Any crack experts?

And would those cracks be something to worry about if it's solid plaster on to brick? If it's plasterboard not to worry? Or am I wrong Thanks again

    Any crack experts?

Thanks - sorry for stupidity/ignorance, do you mean they look like plasterboard cracks? Anything to be worried about do you think?

    Any crack experts?

Thanks for reply. No obvious external cracks anywhere no. There are cracks in the rooms below yes but none seem to run as a consecutive crack from top floor to bottom or from bottom floor up to top if that makes sense. But there are thin vertical cracks under pretty much every window in the...

    Any crack experts?

As above really. Anyone in the know, have any idea whether these are cracks to be worried about? Subsidence issues etc? (All in the same one upstairs bedroom). Gaps under the same window sills where the cracks are. Last 3 photos are of the same crack just closer up in the last two going up the...

Can anyone tell a clueless person what this might be?

Genius - thank you. Feel like this is probably most likely/obvious. Has been doing my head in & don't know how I didn't think of that. Had been wondering if it maybe could have been to do with some sort of damp proof injection? But doesn't seem likely. Thanks again!

Can anyone tell a clueless person what this might be?

Hi Quick question for anyone in the know - anyone any ideas why these holes would be drilled in the brickwork of a house? Intentional/mistake? Likely to have been done at the time of build - or after? Thanks in advance for any suggestions sent my way!

    Structural/subsidence issue? Worried

Not really offended no, I was worried more than offended, but you have deliberately tried your best to offend me for some reason I'll acknowledge that yes. Unfortunately I don't have unlimited money and time to do all the things that are needed to the house all at once - not because I'm lazy...

    Structural/subsidence issue? Worried

brickwork doesn't look like that corner around the whole house, hence why I asked about that one corner. If you're referring to all the rest of the brick work visible in the photo as well, I apologise for your snooty attitude but not for anything on a house that you have no reason to seem to be...

    Structural/subsidence issue? Worried

Thanks for this. There are quite a few cracks around the interior of the house in different places as well. I'll maybe post them in here too just to double check - at the expense of rude comments like the first response on this no doubt. Thanks for the reply though. To me it looked initially...
