No cold water coming from the shower

Haha I did see it, and ran the sink and bath taps together for a few minutes.... But clearly not long enough..... It's the not hearing it filling that's got me, as soon as it started refilling I thought "haven't heard that in ages"

Just to update in case anyone comes across this.... Went out yesterday and purchased a new pump and the shower was fine this morning whilst the rest of the family used it... I went to shower a short while ago and halfway through it went again... So went up into the loft and found the problem...

No cold water coming from the shower

it's affecting both showers, the lever is in the on position, I turned it off to check the inlet on the pump. Managed a shower this morning then it stopped again. Have since tried it turning it to cold only and it ran for a short while before pump cut out.

No cold water coming from the shower

Have just turned it on cold only and that is fine, good steady flow of water. So think the issue is occurring once the pump has been on a certain period of time.

No cold water coming from the shower

We have two showers upstairs, they initially work ok giving warm/hot water but if used for any length of time the water goes too hot, I replaced the thermostatic valve on the main shower but that hasn't worked - so now I have tested the en suite shower - this hasn't been used for years and...

    Replacement handle....

The handle has broken off on one of my (very old) windows, can't seem to find anything similar to replace it with.... Any ideas? Looking to replace the whole window and frame at some point but seems the window size isn't standard either.....

Gas valve not shutting fully (Baxi Solo 2 50PF)

Had Corgi guy around this morning to service/fix boiler - the seal on the flue has gone so he's done a temporary fix with some sealant so it now fires up witout me having to go outside and partly cover flue for a second or two. Whilst he had it apart he showed me that although the boiler was...

    HIVE - wired thermostat

Picked up a Hive Heating and Hot water set (self install) from Amazon pretty cheaply (£80). Current Heating and hot water timer is a UP2, should this be a pretty straightforward swap for the timer - i managed to swap from a UP1 to a UP2 previously? Also existing thermostat is wired, i don't...

    Measuring Rads - 1300mm...

Have two old rads in the living room, looking to replace them - however they seem to be 1300mm in length yet everything on the market seems to be 1200 or 1400? Is this a sign of how old they are?? Or am i just missing something regarding dimensions? Is there anything i can get as a work around...

Shower pump not pumping... well sort of...

Got home last night and tried lowering the shower head a few CM's and it fired up... not ideal given i'm 6'7.... Annoying thing is i fitted a brand new positive pump at the end of August - will head into the loft at the weekend - to see if there is enough room between the top of the water tank...

Shower pump not pumping... well sort of...

The old shower worked ok so this is a new problem. I have moved the shower though - its now closer to the pump (a Stuart Turner 46500 Showermate Eco Pump 2 Bar Twin). The head on the shower is close to ceiling height, the previous shower was an aqualisa hand held with a wall mount. where as...

Shower pump not pumping... well sort of...

I have an issue with a shower i have fitted in our bathroom where the pump will only work if i turn the hand held shower on. If I turn it to the overhead option nothing happens... that is until i go into the en-suite in our bedroom and turn on the shower in there then the shower in the batrhroom...
