Was a cash buyer for a house 8 years ao. possibly missing building reg for removed chimney breast. Will it make it impossible to sell?

thank you, that is reassuring to know. I know there are no guarantees but it's good to know that it doesn't automatically make buyers pull out!

Was a cash buyer for a house 8 years ao. possibly missing building reg for removed chimney breast. Will it make it impossible to sell?

thank you. do you advise this as we are selling? would the indemnity insurance option not cover us? i don't necessarily want to discover a need for loads of work when we are about to sell if the simple insurance policy would work!

Shifted bricks on one corner of our house. What does this mean?

thank you. yes I thought it looked like there was a repair - there is mortar in some parts that follows the shape of the bricks - I think.

Was a cash buyer for a house 8 years ao. possibly missing building reg for removed chimney breast. Will it make it impossible to sell?

thank you. We did have a hefty discount on the property, it was very cheap even for the time we bought it. What is a PW agreement?

Shifted bricks on one corner of our house. What does this mean?

thank you. it's just one corner of the house so there is an 'underbite' a few briks in length on one side of the corner, and an 'overbite' of a few bricks in length on the other side of the corner if that makes sense.

Shifted bricks on one corner of our house. What does this mean?

Surely any decent surveyor would move a wheelie bin and have a good look at the foundation!? I know that' joke, but is it something I should be concerned about?

Was a cash buyer for a house 8 years ao. possibly missing building reg for removed chimney breast. Will it make it impossible to sell?

I checked on the searches done by the solicitor at the time, and I could not see any application for building regulations! I know records go back to something like 1990 only though so maybe it was before this. Do you think we should do this before selling or just sell and see what...

Was a cash buyer for a house 8 years ao. possibly missing building reg for removed chimney breast. Will it make it impossible to sell?

thank you for this. is this something we should do before selling? we arewanting to sell on a tight timeline. i mean would it likely lead to a scenario where we have a buyer and they pull out because of this and we have to auction the house anyway?

Shifted bricks on one corner of our house. What does this mean?

It's from 1930s! Will a surveyor flag it as an issue topotential buyers? I'm a bit worried that we'll get a buyer then they drop out due to potential movement!

Shifted bricks on one corner of our house. What does this mean?

I am wondering wht a surveyor might say about these bricks - in one pic the bottom 2 layer of bricks are jutting out from under the top 2 layers. in the other the top 2 layers are overhanging the bottom 2. Never noticed this before but now thinking of selling. We were going to get the hosue...

Was a cash buyer for a house 8 years ao. possibly missing building reg for removed chimney breast. Will it make it impossible to sell?

Hello, I purchased a house in 2014 for an excellent price (so i thought at the time). I am thinking of selling now and looking back at the survey and doc. The surveyor notes that there is a removed chimney breast and our solicitor asked the seller for building regs certificate, though looking...
