    Shower trap deep

Its ok i have solved the issue. The spigot need to point downwards rather than to the side and so the collar now does not hit the underside of the floor. I am using a flexi macalpine connector after this to connect onto my waste pipe.

    AAD valves for toilet

I need a bit of advice on using an AAD on a new bathroom. Build control has been out today to check all my latest works and part of that was my new soil pipe run and waste runs. All was ok. However he told me i might want to consider an AAD near to my toilet because the run is quite long. It...

    Soil pipe issue

Went well on the wall today. Got it tight using an adjustable connector. Sorted out the bend situation inside and used 45 degree bends instead of 90. So it should be fine.

    Soil pipe issue

I have two questions on a soil pipe install: 1) Internally i am running the soil pipe in boxing, but i cannot exit in a straight line out through the wall as there is a change in wall line on the outside. So i need to turn 90 degrees left then 90 degrees right to exit through the wall and then...

    unvented HW cylinder overflow

I am going to use 22mm copper for the over flow on my unvented hot water tank. Can i run this out into a gutter ? Outside where the over flow will go there is a large flat roof which you can walk on. It would be easy to just continue the 22mm copper along this flat roof and deposit into the...

Pan connector into new soil pipe

I have a new 4m length of soil pipe which will run through a bedroom before going through the wall to the soil stack. Can i fit my pan connector into the wider part of the soil pipe (with seal on it) or would i need to cut this bit off so i just have the 110mm pipe ? Going to use a 90 degree...

    Earth bonding for water

Metal. It seems some people say you do need to earth it due to the metal feed coming into the building. But some say not to.

    Earth bonding for water

I am doing a full rewire and replumb on a flat i am working on. The water feed comes up through the hall into a meter just outside the front door. From here I have a new stop tap in brass and then after this i go into 15mm plastic. The feed goes up through the ceiling into my flat and I am...

    Shower trap recommendations

I am fitting a new shower and will use a 90mm size trap. However I am going to be running 50mm solvent weld waste pipe as the run is about 4m in the floor and then goes outside along the wall for a bit. I think 40mm will be ok, but I've got the 50mm pipe so am using it. Two questions: 1) can...
