I plan to change the discs and pad on my Fiat Punto. I am a keen DIYer but have little experience with car mechanics. any advice would be gratefully recieved

Ive just moved in to a two year old house and when our hot water and central heating boiler is switched on a very loud and irratating noise is emitting from somewhere near the roof of our house. It dissapears if I knock off the 185 boiler and returns withion a few minutes of switching it back...
