hi all got a job installing a dual rcd cu at a bungalow, had a quick look in the loft ect all circuits entering the loft with a 2.5 ringmain well in the insulation all cable are under at least 300mm of insulation what would you do regarding the mcb size.s ect? example the 2.5 ring

he might be an electrician and a plumder but not be part p

a switch fuse spur would be better but if the plumber is not part p then he has no choice but to put on a plug :D

thanks for the good advice guys, the nic guy had a look at my first job asked me some questions, and show him some testing, then the second job we were only there 15 mins, altogether the assesment lasted about two hours (max)

hi all ive got my niceic domestic installer essesment coming up, im going to start up on my own, instead of working for someone else, anyway on the leaflet i got off the nic with my essesment date it says they will want evidence that i have a written health and safety policy statement...

sorry for not replying back quicker bas, i just thought because u could touch the connection and the connection blocks were quite worn it would need improvemet what do you think?

im doing a periodic on a commercial workshop and in the workshop they have recessed fluorescent modular fittings with the covers missing they are out of reach but you can see the cables going into the connection block what code would be required for this? im thinking a code 2 but im not...
